“I have been competing in the Olympics, X Games, World Cup, and Banzai Tour, but by far, my best moments are when I snowboard powder.”

Sylvain Duclos was born and raised in the French Alps near Chamonix. While skateboarding at age 13, he discovered snowboarding and fell in love. He began competing in all disciplines of snowboarding at the age of 15 years old. By the age of 18, Sylvain was competing in World Cup events. Career highlights include 8 World Cup podiums and two victories. He also raced at the Olympic’s inaugural Boardercross event in Turino, Italy.
Duclos now resides in Lake Tahoe, California focusing on the Rahlves Banzai Tour, which he won two consecutive years. Outside of snowboarding, Sylvain is a certified yoga instructor at a studio called Mountain Lotus Yoga in Tahoe City. He has found that yoga, pilates and tai-chi are the best ways to keep in shape and work on my strength, balance and cardio.

Some highlights from his 2014 season include a 2nd place finish at the Mt Baker Legendary Banked Slalom and competing in the Articman Race in Alaska.
